Amends Section 71-3-25 of the Mississippi Code to add a new subsection (h) providing workers' compensation death benefits to next-of-kin when no dependents exist.

Allows fifteen percent (15%) of the deceased worker's wages to be paid for the support of each next-of-kin, with aggregate payments not exceeding 66-2/3% of average wages and subject to maximum weekly benefit limitations.

Maintains existing death benefit provisions including $1,000 lump-sum payment to surviving spouse, up to $5,000 in funeral expenses, and specified percentages for surviving spouses and children.

Takes effect on July 1, 2017.
