Authorizes City of Booneville governing authorities to levy an additional sales tax of up to 2% on hotel and motel room rentals and restaurant sales to promote tourism and parks and recreation.

Requires voter approval via election with 60% affirmative vote by qualified city electors before tax can be imposed; election scheduled for June 6, 2017.

Tax proceeds minus 3% retained by Department of Revenue for collection costs shall be distributed equally (50/50) within seven days to the Booneville & Prentiss County Main Street Association and the city's parks and recreation department.

Restricts use of tax proceeds to tangible goods and grants for tourism and parks promotion; prohibits expenditure on private property, legal fees, or salaries, and requires separate accounting from general fund revenues.

Sunsets automatically on July 1, 2021; requires annual independent audit by certified public accountant with results reported to city governing authorities and state legislators representing the city.
