Amends Section 63-11-40 of the Mississippi Code to increase penalties for driving with a suspended, revoked, or cancelled license due to DUI violations.

First conviction remains a misdemeanor with imprisonment of 48 hours to 6 months and a fine of $200-$500.

Second or subsequent convictions become felonies punishable by 1-3 years imprisonment and fines of $1,000-$3,000.

Commissioner of Public Safety must suspend the driver's license for an additional 6 months, running consecutively after the original suspension period.

Takes effect July 1, 2017.
