Authorizes mileage reimbursement for any manager, clerk, or other person present at a voting precinct who is required to return to the registrar's office after polls close on election day.

Mileage reimbursement equals the federal employee rate for privately owned vehicle use, calculated for each mile traveled in excess of 10 miles.

Maintains existing compensation structure: managers and clerks receive $75 per election, plus up to $50 additional at board of supervisors' discretion.

Preserves existing $10 payments for managers or other persons who deliver ballots and supplies to precincts and who serve as returning officers.

Takes effect July 1, 2017.
