Amends Section 33-4-1 of Mississippi Code to modify eligibility requirements for the Mississippi Military Family Relief Fund.

Removes the residency requirement for Mississippi National Guard members whose families seek financial hardship assistance from the fund.

Maintains residency requirement for members of the Reserves of the Armed Forces of the United States seeking assistance through the fund.

Fund monies can now assist families experiencing financial hardship due to a National Guard member regardless of whether that member resides in Mississippi.

Takes effect July 1, 2017.
