Creates the "Financial Transparency in Education Act" requiring all local education providers to establish searchable expenditure and revenue websites by July 1, 2018.

Website databases must include detailed financial data including entity names, expenditure amounts, funding sources, dates, budget categories, expenditure purposes, and copies of credit card statements in downloadable, searchable format.

Local education providers must post comprehensive total expenditures and per-pupil spending figures (using both budgeted and audited actual figures) on their homepages within one week of budget adoption and one week after final audited figures are available.

Financial data must be updated at least monthly, archived and remain searchable, and include an RSS feed subscription option for public notification of updates.

Act applies to school districts, boards of cooperative services, state-authorized charter school agencies, and public charter schools; takes effect July 1, 2017.
