Amends Mississippi Code Section 43-21-353 to require the Department of Child Protection Services to notify the applicable military installation family advocacy program when a parent or other person responsible for an abused or neglected child maintains active duty military status.

Notification to the military family advocacy program must occur when the Department determines that an allegation of abuse or neglect relates to a child whose parent or caregiver is on active military duty.

Maintains existing confidentiality protections for child abuse and neglect reports and the identity of reporters.

Takes effect July 1, 2017.
