Increases chief county medical examiner or chief county medical examiner investigator salary from $900.00 to $1,250.00 per month, with a minimum county payment of $300.00 per month (increased from $100.00).

Establishes a minimum monthly salary of $300.00 per month for deputy medical examiners or deputy medical examiner investigators (new requirement), with maximum discretionary salary of $900.00 per month.

Increases fee for each completed death investigation report from $125.00 to $175.00, plus actual expenses.

Adds supplemental fees for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) death scene investigation reports: $50.00 base or $100.00 if examiner has advanced child death investigation training.

Effective date is October 1, 2017, with Section 41-61-75 set to expire July 1, 2021.
