Requires all passengers in passenger motor vehicles, regardless of seat location (front or back), to wear properly fastened safety seat belts while operating on public roads, streets, or highways in Mississippi.

Exempts farm vehicles, implements of husbandry, farm tractors, buses, and operators with written physician verification of medical inability to wear seat belts.

Establishes violation as a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of $25.00, with only the vehicle operator subject to fines for passenger violations.

Limits aggregate fines to $25.00 maximum per vehicle for violations by the operator or any passengers combined.

Effective date: July 1, 2017.
