Creates the Municipal Crime Prevention Fund in the State Treasury, administered by the Department of Public Safety to assist municipal crime prevention programs throughout the state.

Fund receives monies from petition filing fees to expunge offenses and may accept donations from public or private sources, with any interest earned remaining in the fund.

Increases the filing fee for expungement petitions from $150.00 to $152.00, with the new $2.00 deposited into the Municipal Crime Prevention Fund.

Existing fee distributions remain unchanged: $100.00 to Judicial System Operation Fund, $40.00 to District Attorneys Operation Fund, and $10.00 retained by circuit clerk for administration.

Effective July 1, 2017.
