Adds subsection (x) to Mississippi Code Section 19-5-93 authorizing county boards of supervisors to donate annually to the Fannie Lou Hamer Cancer Foundation to support an education center for cancer prevention and protection.

County donations to the foundation are limited to an amount not exceeding what would be generated by a one-fourth (1/4) mill ad valorem tax on all taxable property within the county during the fiscal year in which donations are made.

Donations must come from existing county treasury funds and do not authorize the imposition of additional taxes.

The bill becomes effective July 1, 2017.
