Amends Section 45-1-29, Mississippi Code of 1972, to clarify which individuals must pay laboratory analysis fees to the Mississippi Forensics Laboratory.

Expands the fee requirement to include individuals convicted of misdemeanors (previously felonies only), nonadjudicated individuals under specified code sections, and those participating in pretrial intervention programs.

Maintains the laboratory analysis fee at $300.00 per case where the Forensics Laboratory provided forensic science or laboratory services, unless the court finds undue hardship.

Allows courts to waive the fee if imposing it would result in undue hardship to the defendant.

Takes effect July 1, 2017.
