Requires the State Board of Education to approve certified teacher units for accreditation and funding purposes for school districts with reduced numbers of certified teachers, effective 2016-2017 school year.

Allows school districts to receive certified teacher unit credit when a certified teaching professional is placed in a classroom with a noncertified teacher for a minimum of three (3) days per week for thirty (30) weeks.

The certified professional must assist with instruction and provide certification training to the noncertified teacher during the placement period.

School districts earn one (1) certified teacher unit credit for each completed placement meeting the specified requirements.
