Increases the weight tolerance for vehicles operating with a harvest permit from 5% to 15% above authorized tandem or axle weight, while maintaining the maximum gross vehicle weight at 84,000 pounds

Increases the weight tolerance for vehicles loading or unloading containerized cargo at state ports from 5% to 15% above authorized gross weight, tandem, or axle weight

Removes the previous restriction that prohibited harvest permit vehicles from receiving tolerance when loading at locations with scales available for weighing individual axles

Weight tolerances and increased limits remain prohibited on federal interstate highways and roads where specifically restricted by the Transportation Commission, county boards, or municipal authorities

Effective date of July 1, 2017, with the harvest permit provisions (subsection 5) set to repeal on July 1, 2019
