Increases the fee for service of process, summons, warrant, writ or other notice in civil and criminal cases from $35.00 to $40.00 per service.

Increases the fee for levy of execution on judgments, attachment and garnishment proceedings after final judgment from $35.00 to $40.00.

Maintains the $5.00 additional fee for service on each additional defendant residing at the same household.

Clarifies that when process must be served in a different county after an initial failed attempt, the clerk shall notify the complaining party that additional fees must be paid before the process can be delivered to the other county.

Takes effect July 1, 2017.
