Commemorates the life and mourns the passing of Dr. Barbara Yvonne Hamilton, born November 25, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois, to Sylvester and Eula Mae Thames-Hamilton.

Recognizes Dr. Hamilton's 28-year career with the Mississippi Legislature's Joint Committee on Performance Evaluation and Expenditure Review (PEER), where she served as Senior Analyst and Training Coordinator.

Honors her educational achievements, including a bachelor's degree in political science from Jackson State University, a master's degree in public administration from the University of Mississippi (1986), and a Ph.D. in educational leadership and administration from Jackson State University (2015).

Acknowledges her community involvement, including memberships in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, founding membership in the Central Mississippi Chapter of 100 Black Women, and worship at Anderson United Methodist Church in Jackson.

Directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to Dr. Hamilton's family and the Capitol Press Corps.
