Acknowledges and commends Mr. Steven Byess on his 10th anniversary as Music Director of the North Mississippi Symphony Orchestra.

Recognizes the North Mississippi Symphony Orchestra (formerly Tupelo Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1971) as a premier regional entertainment organization serving northeast Mississippi and the southeastern United States.

Highlights Mr. Byess's credentials including his education from Georgia State University, Cleveland Institute of Music, and Pierre Monteux Memorial School for Conductors, plus his experience with the Portland Columbia Symphony Orchestra, Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra, and Ohio Light Opera (over 500 performances of 65 operas and operettas).

Commends Mr. Byess's leadership in advancing the arts and inspiring aspiring musicians and artists in Mississippi.

Directs distribution of the resolution to Mr. Byess, the North Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, and the Capitol Press Corps.
