Formally requests the Joint Committee on the Library of Congress approve replacing Mississippi's statue of James Zachariah George with a statue of blues legend B.B. King in the United States Capitol's Statuary Hall.

Authorizes the replacement under 2 U.S.C. Section 2132, which allows states to replace statues displayed for at least 10 years with equally suitable and socially inclusive representations.

Identifies B.B. King (Riley Benjamin King), born in Itta Bena, Mississippi, as a world-renowned blues icon who released over 50 albums, was inducted into the Blues Foundation and Rock and Roll halls of fame, and toured extensively as an ambassador for Mississippi's music heritage.

Requests the Governor of Mississippi issue a proclamation approving the replacement and create a commission of Mississippi artisans to solicit private contributions for the creation and placement of the B.B. King statue.

Directs copies of the resolution be sent to the Joint Committee on the Library of Congress, Mississippi's congressional delegation, and the Capitol Press Corps.
