Commends the 2016-2017 Hinds Community College Men's Soccer Team for winning the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) State Soccer Championship and the National Junior Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 23 Championship, their tenth state title in 18 years.

Recognizes Head Coach Doug Williams as the eighth winningest active NJCAA soccer coach in the nation with a 17-year record of 222 wins, 80 losses, and 19 ties, and named MACJC Coach of the Year for 2016 (the tenth time receiving this honor).

Highlights team achievements including a 2-0 victory over Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in the state championship, with 47 players making NJCAA All-Region Teams and 68 making All-State Teams over 18 years.

Notes the team maintained a collective 3.27 GPA while achieving success on the field, demonstrating excellence in both athletics and academics.

Directs copies of the resolution be furnished to Head Coach Doug Williams and the Capitol Press Corps.
