House Resolution 25 commends the Mississippi Center for Nonprofits for providing training and professional development to nonprofit organizations throughout the state.

The Center conducts in-person training workshops based on nonprofit management best practices and partners with nonprofit, corporate, and government agencies to present forums, webinars, and conferences.

Since its founding in 1992, the Center has trained more than 8,000 nonprofit professionals and is celebrating its 25th year of continuous service in 2017.

The organization operates under Executive Director Sherry Rainey and a governing board chaired by Wendy Mullins with a mission to strengthen nonprofit capacity and improve quality of life for Mississippi residents and communities.

Copies of the resolution are to be furnished to the Mississippi Center for Nonprofits and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
