Commends Davis Magnet International Baccalaureate Elementary School in Jackson, Mississippi for being ranked the number one elementary school in the state by SchoolDigger.com out of 403 elementary schools.

Recognizes the school's history as a progressive institution offering inquiry-based instruction, Spanish and sign language instruction, and Accelerated Reader programs with University of Mississippi science partnerships.

Acknowledges the school's previous honors including National Blue Ribbon School designation from the U.S. Department of Education and consistent "A" ratings from the Mississippi Department of Education.

Credits the school's achievement to dedicated faculty and staff, engaged parents, and focused students who worked throughout the year to achieve and maintain the top ranking despite challenging educational conditions.

Directs copies of the resolution be provided to Davis Magnet International Baccalaureate Elementary School Principal Kathleen Grigsby and to the Capitol Press Corps.
