Commends the Calhoun City High School "Wildcats" football team for winning their first State Title since 1989 by defeating Bay Springs 22-8 on December 2, 2016.

Honors the memory of departed team member Tripp Macon, whose No. 68 jersey was painted on each helmet after he predicted two years prior that the team would win a championship this year.

Recognizes the team's dominant performance with 274 rushing yards, five turnovers forced, and holding Bay Springs to 176 total yards with a 15-1 record.

Names all 41 players on the roster and coaching staff, including Head Coach Perry Liles, who led the Wildcats to their third championship game appearance in four years.

Directs copies of the resolution be provided to Head Coach Perry Liles, Calhoun City High School Principal Mike Ray, the Calhoun County Board of Education, and the Capitol Press Corps.
