Recognizes Mr. Fortenberry's career with Baker-Hughes International in the oil industry and his work creating art and remodeling homes, and honors Mrs. Fortenberry's service to the Simpson County Republican Executive Committee and Keep Simpson County Beautiful Committee

Commends the couple's 58-year marriage (married December 25, 1957), their active membership in First Baptist Church of Mendenhall, and their dedication to helping their community and family

Directs the House to express deepest sympathy to their surviving son Rusty and grandsons Witt and Alex, and to provide copies of the resolution to them and the Capitol Press Corps
