Mourns the loss and commemorates the life and legacy of Mr. Lewis Jackson, a Hattiesburg community member who passed away.

Recognizes Jackson's accomplishments including his education from Hattiesburg School District and his construction business that he operated for more than 40 years after starting at Harris Construction Co. at age 17.

Acknowledges Jackson's faith and dedication as a devoted Christian who attended multiple churches including Priest Creek, Ebenezer M.B. Church, and True Seeker.

Expresses deepest sympathy to Jackson's surviving family including his wife Shirley Bankston Jackson, eight children, seven sisters, 13 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to Jackson's family and to members of the Capitol Press Corps.
