Commends and congratulates Ms. Alexandra Waldrop on being named the 2017 colleen for the Hibernia Marching Society Parade, scheduled for March 11, 2017, in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Recognizes Ms. Waldrop's Irish heritage through her paternal great-great-grandfather William Elliott from Northern Ireland and maternal great-great-great-grandfather Ivy Coker from County Cork, Ireland.

Acknowledges her educational achievements including graduation from St. Patrick Catholic High School in 2011, University of Southern Mississippi with an elementary and special education degree, and current pursuit of a master's degree in dyslexia therapy at William Carey University with a 4.0 GPA.

Highlights her professional and volunteer work as a special education teacher at West Elementary School in Gulfport and volunteer service with the South Mississippi Special Needs Organization and Mississippi Coast Special Needs Soccer Association, including recognition as the 2011 City of Biloxi Youth Volunteer of the Year.
