Commends the Coahoma County High School Red Panthers basketball team for winning the Mississippi High School Activities Association Class 2A State Basketball Championship on March 15, 2017.

Team finished the 2017 season with a 32-2 record and defeated Baldwyn High School 60-47 in the championship game at the Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson.

Highlights junior guard Keion Cosby as the game's MVP with 19 points and four 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, and senior Brandon Hornburger's six points during a crucial 10-0 third-quarter run.

Recognizes Head Coach Derrick Moore, Sr. and Assistant Coaches Tim Williams, Daryl Moore, and Justin Washington for their leadership and development of the players.

Directs that copies of the resolution be provided to Coahoma County High School, Head Coach Derrick Moore, Sr., and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
