Kirk Academy Raiderettes Basketball Team won the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools Class AAA State Basketball Championship on February 25, 2017, with a 39-4 record.

Team defeated Bowling Green School 53-40 in the championship game and finished 10-0 in conference play with a 47.5 point average margin of victory.

Team roster included seniors Margaret Taylor and Raven Johnson; juniors Carley Hudspeth, Annie Box, Elizabeth Taylor and Morgan Claire Rose; and freshmen Macie Hames, Campbell Thomas, Caroline Perry and Elizabeth McElwrath.

Head Coach Amy C. Denley and Assistant Coach Greg Denley are recognized for developing players' skills and helping each athlete realize her fullest potential.

House of Representatives commends the team and coaching staff for bringing honor to Kirk Academy, their community, and the state of Mississippi.
