Commends Lieutenant Colonel Bert E. Sullivan, Jr., for more than 33 years of service to the United States Air Force and Air National Guard, retiring effective March 1, 2017.

Recognizes his service as an aeromedical evacuation technician and flight nurse with the 183rd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron of the 172nd Airlift Wing in Jackson, Mississippi.

Acknowledges his 2,000-plus flight hours and 689 sorties on multiple aircraft platforms and leadership roles including Commander at Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan, and Chief Nurse at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland.

Notes his participation in 11 major military operations and humanitarian efforts during Hurricanes Katrina and Rita over his career spanning multiple squadron leadership positions.

Directs copies of the resolution to be provided to Lieutenant Colonel Sullivan and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
