Mourns the passing of Mrs. Mollie Bennett Blackmon, born February 26, 1919, in Madison County, Mississippi, and expresses deepest sympathy to her family and friends.

Commends Mrs. Blackmon's distinguished career as an educator at elementary, secondary, and collegiate levels, including her role as the first African-American guidance counselor at Holmes Community College in Goodman, Mississippi.

Recognizes her 65+ years of Christian service as a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church and her legacy as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and humanitarian who impacted countless lives.

Acknowledges her surviving family members, including three sons (Jessie L. Evans, Edward Blackmon Jr., and Stanley Blackmon), nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Directs copies of the resolution to be furnished to her three surviving sons and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
