Amends Section 25-3-9 of the Mississippi Code to clarify that payments made to county prosecuting attorneys for secretarial services under Section 19-23-19 are not counted as part of their annual salary

County prosecuting attorney salaries are set by population tiers, ranging from $12,900 for counties with 6,000 or fewer residents to $28,500 for counties over 200,000 residents

Boards of supervisors may pay an additional 10% above the maximum allowable salary at their discretion

Numerous county-specific salary provisions exist based on geographic identifiers (highway intersections, rivers, state borders) with some counties authorized to pay salaries equal to board of supervisors members, justice court judges, or up to 90% of county court judge salaries

No county prosecuting attorney may receive an annual salary less than that paid to a justice court judge in their county
