Amends Section 49-19-351 of the Mississippi Code to allow county boards of supervisors to exempt certified controlled burn practitioners from outdoor burning bans.

Boards of supervisors may issue orders prohibiting or restricting outdoor burning during drought or wildfire conditions as determined by the State Forestry Commission.

Exemptions may be granted only to persons who are certified to perform controlled burns.

Violations of burning ban orders remain a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of $100 to $500.

Takes effect upon passage.
