Restores voting rights to Charlie Ledbetter of Clay County, Mississippi, who lost eligibility due to a 1997 grand larceny conviction.

Original sentence was five years with one year to serve on house arrest and three years supervised probation; Ledbetter was incarcerated February 18, 1997, and released July 19, 2000.

Ledbetter completed his sentence and was discharged from house arrest on March 28, 2001.

Legislature finds that Ledbetter is now conducting himself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen.

Act takes effect upon passage.
