Amends Mississippi Code Section 99-19-71 to allow expungement of any felony conviction other than crimes of violence as defined in Section 97-3-2, replacing the previous list of specific eligible felonies.

Requires petitioner to wait five (5) years after successful completion of all sentence terms and conditions before filing for felony expungement and limits each person to one (1) felony expunction.

Maintains requirement that petitioner give ten (10) days' written notice to the district attorney and allows court to grant expungement if applicant is determined to be rehabilitated.

Preserves nonpublic records at the Mississippi Criminal Information Center and by district attorney's office for law enforcement purposes, and allows employers to ask prospective employees about expunged convictions.

Takes effect July 1, 2017.
