Amends Section 25-1-87 of Mississippi Code to authorize the Commissioner of the Department of Corrections to request unmarked vehicles when identifying marks would hinder official investigations.

Adds the Commissioner of the Department of Corrections to the list of state officials who may request that the Governor authorize unmarked vehicles for investigative purposes.

Maintains existing requirement that unmarked vehicle requests must include the vehicle's manufacturer serial number and state inventory number, with written justification for the exemption.

Requires the Governor to provide the State Department of Audit with copies of any written authority granted for unmarked vehicles, with ongoing auditing and compliance enforcement procedures.

Effective upon passage.
