Amends Section 45-33-33 of Mississippi Code to require persons convicted of failure to register as a sex offender to submit to mandatory electronic monitoring during any period of supervised probation, post-release supervision, or parole.

Eliminates the previous calculation method for electronic monitoring duration (subtracting actual incarceration time from the five-year maximum) and instead requires monitoring for the entire duration of supervised probation, post-release supervision, or parole.

Specifies that the court and Department of Corrections cannot suspend or reduce the period of post-release electronic monitoring.

Adds that non-compliance with electronic monitoring terms and conditions constitutes a violation of the sex offender registration chapter.

Takes effect July 1, 2017.
