Eliminates the special Mississippi Occupational Diploma for students with disabilities for all students entering ninth grade in the 2017-2018 school year or thereafter, pending State Board of Education approval of new graduation options.

Eliminates the career track program for students not pursuing a baccalaureate degree for all students entering ninth grade in the 2017-2018 school year or thereafter.

Revises the recognition process for schools providing full inclusion of students with disabilities in academic and extracurricular activities by changing recognition from mandatory to discretionary and allowing multiple schools per level to receive awards.

Renames the "Committee for Special Education" to the "Mississippi Special Education Advisory Panel" and revises the timeline for award submissions and selection to be determined annually by the panel rather than a fixed March 31 deadline.

Takes effect July 1, 2017.
