Amends Section 37-106-53, Mississippi Code of 1972, to allow recipients of Mississippi Dyslexia Education Forgivable Loans to repay loans through service as part-time dyslexia therapists.

Permits loan repayment via half-day (1/2 day) employment for four years at any Mississippi school district that lacks financial resources to employ a full-time dyslexia therapist.

Converts the loan into a scholarship upon completion of the part-time service requirement, discharging the loan obligation.

Maintains existing provisions that if a recipient abandons the service repayment option, the remaining loan balance becomes due with a 5% penalty and interest.

Effective date: July 1, 2017.
