Increases weight tolerance for vehicles operating under a harvest permit from 5% to 15% above authorized tandem or axle weight, with maximum gross vehicle weight not exceeding 84,000 pounds.

Increases weight tolerance for vehicles hauling prepackaged products at state ports from 5% to 15% above authorized gross weight, tandem or axle weight, with maximum weight not exceeding 80,000 pounds plus 2% tolerance.

Authorizes tolerance for harvest permit vehicles loaded at points of origin with scales available for weighing each individual axle, replacing previous prohibition on such vehicles.

Maintains restrictions on tolerance use on federal interstate highways and highways where tolerance is specifically prohibited by the Transportation Commission, county boards, or municipal authorities.

Takes effect July 1, 2017.
