Department of Public Safety shall provide voter registration applications to persons aged 17 and older applying for or renewing driver licenses, state identification cards, or submitting address changes.

Department of Public Safety must deliver completed voter registration applications to the Secretary of State in electronic format on a schedule determined by the Secretary of State.

Secretary of State shall provide electronic records to county registrars, and persons are automatically registered to vote if they do not decline registration within 21 calendar days of notification.

County registrars may register persons as electors based on electronic records and signatures submitted through the driver license/identification card application process if the applicant meets voting eligibility requirements.

Act takes effect July 1, 2017.
