Acknowledges his oversight of every building project in the school's history, helping grow enrollment from 23 students to over 950 students, making it the largest Christian school in Mississippi

Notes his recognition through the school's naming of the Gunn Scholars academic honor society after him and his wife Tillie, and his receipt of the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools Lifetime Achievement Award
