Commends and congratulates the Lewisburg High School "Marching Patriots" band and Director Kim Hallmark for winning three consecutive Class 5A State Marching Band Championships in 2014, 2015, and 2016.

Notes the band has won five total state championships and four state runner-up finishes in ten years, with the 2016 championship won on October 22, 2016, in Pearl against 14 competing Class 5A bands.

Recognizes the 183-member band's hard work since July band camp and multiple local competition wins, along with staff members Ben McLemore and Nelson Coile who contributed to the program's success.

Acknowledges Director Kim Hallmark's leadership, noting she inherited the program four years prior and the band's focus on modern marching band production including intricate drill design, show themes, and visual and musical elements.

Directs the resolution be presented to Director Kim Hallmark and Principal Chris Fleming, forwarded to the DeSoto County Board of Education, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
