Commends the Calhoun City High School "Wildcats" football team and Head Coach Perry Liles for winning their first Class 2A State Championship since 1989 by defeating Bay Springs 22-8 on December 2, 2016.

Honors departed team member Tripp Macon, who passed away in a car accident two years prior but predicted the team would win a championship; his No. 68 jersey was painted on each helmet during the championship game.

Recognizes the team's dominant performance with 274 rushing yards, five turnovers created, and holding Bay Springs to 176 total yards, with Jessie Nabors leading rushers with 114 yards.

Lists all 40 team members, coaching staff including Defensive Coordinator Chad White and four assistant coaches, and directs the resolution be presented to Coach Liles and Principal Mike Ray.
