Recognizes and congratulates Allison Ruhl, a first-grade teacher at Madison Station Elementary School, for receiving the 2016-2017 Milken Educator Award on January 11, 2017.

Acknowledges that Ruhl is one of only 35 teachers nationwide to receive the award in 2017, the only Mississippian recipient that year, and the first educator from Madison County School District to win.

Notes the Milken Educator Award includes a $25,000 no-strings-attached check from the Milken Family Foundation and recognizes exceptional educators as models for the state and nation.

Directs that the resolution be presented to Allison Ruhl, forwarded to the Madison County Board of Education and State Superintendent of Education, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
