Recognizes U.S. Navy Commander (Retired) Randy Reeves, Executive Director of the Mississippi Veterans Affairs Board, upon his election as President of the National Association of State Directors of Veterans Affairs (NASDVA)

Reeves served 27 years in the U.S. Air Force (1980-1988) and Navy (1988-2008), including service during Operation Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, and Enduring Freedom

As Executive Director, Reeves oversees services to Mississippi's approximately 227,000 veterans and previously served as Deputy Director and Director of the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery

NASDVA under Reeves' leadership represents nearly 22 million U.S. veterans across 50 states, five territories, and the District of Columbia, and championed legislative reforms including modernizing the VA Benefits Appeals system

Holds a Master's Degree in Health Science, Bachelor's Degree in Management, and has received the 2013 Excellence in State Government Award and NASDVA President's Awards in 2013 and 2015
