Commends Tupelo Christian Preparatory School "Eagles" baseball team and Coach Will Lowrey for winning the 2016 Class 1A State Championship on May 21, 2016, at Trustmark Park in Pearl, Mississippi

The Eagles defeated their opponent 5-4 with a walk-off single after falling behind 4-3 in the top of the seventh inning, finishing the season with a 25-12 record

The championship game featured a triple play executed by first baseman Easton Hood, shortstop Cade Hill, and pitcher Austin Laney

The baseball program, established in 2008, reached the 1A Semifinals three times before winning this first state title, including a semifinal sweep of 2014 champion Smithville

Directs the resolution be presented to Coach Lowrey, Headmaster Ronnie Hill, and the school's Board of Trustees
