Extends condolences of the Mississippi Legislature to the family of Coach Orsmond E. Jordan, Jr., who passed away on February 19, 2017.

Recognizes Coach Jordan's 35-year coaching career that produced 722 wins, including a 43-0 undefeated 1963-1964 Lanier High School team that won a national championship for all-black high schools.

Honors his four state championships at Jackson Murrah High School (1970, 1986, 1991, 1992) and four Mississippi High School Coach of the Year awards.

Notes he coached seven All-Americans, eight future NBA players, and three McDonald's All-Stars, and was inducted into the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame in 2001.

Directs the resolution be presented to Coach Jordan's family, forwarded to the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame, and distributed to the Capitol Press Corps.
