Commends and congratulates the Suzuki Strings Advanced Ensemble of Columbus, Mississippi, Director Diane Ford, and founder Trudy Gildea for their historic performance at Carnegie Hall on June 23, 2017.

Recognizes the Suzuki Strings Program founded by Trudy Gildea in 1980, which offers violin and cello instruction through private and group lessons at various skill levels.

Acknowledges the ensemble members' achievements including Superior ratings at music festivals, All-State Orchestra positions, and performances with regional symphony orchestras.

Notes that Trudy Gildea, the program founder, will perform with the ensemble at Carnegie Hall, fulfilling a childhood dream after witnessing a performance there over seven decades earlier.

Directs the resolution be presented to Director Diane Ford and founder Trudy Gildea, forwarded to the Mississippi Arts Commission, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
