Commends and congratulates the Coahoma County High School "Red Panthers" boys basketball team and Head Coach Derrick Moore for winning the MHSAA Class 2A State Championship on March 10, 2017, defeating Baldwyn High School 60-47.

Recognizes the team's accomplishment of ending an 11-year championship drought and returning the Gold Ball Trophy to Clarksdale.

Highlights Player of the Game Keon Cosby who scored 19 points and three rebounds, and senior Brandon Hornburgr who contributed six of the team's 10 points in the third quarter.

Lists the complete championship roster of 17 players, Head Coach Derrick Moore, and three assistant coaches (Daryl Moore, Timothy Williams, and Myron Lott).

Directs the resolution to be presented to Coach Derrick Moore and Principal Olenza McBride, forwarded to the Coahoma County Board of Education, and provided to the Capitol Press Corps.
