Commends Dr. Freda McKissic Bush of Jackson, Mississippi for her distinguished career as a nurse, midwife, instructor, obstetrician and gynecologist spanning decades of service.

Recognizes her educational credentials including degrees from the University of Arkansas, Columbia University, University of Mississippi Medical School, and University of Tennessee, along with American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology certification in 1989.

Acknowledges her leadership roles including serving as Chair of the Federation of State Medical Boards of the United States in 2010 and President of Central Medical Society in 2004, becoming the first woman and first African-American in that position.
