Creates new Section 25-61-11.2 to exempt specified information technology (IT) records from the Mississippi Public Records Act of 1983, including network architecture, source code, hardware/software inventories, security plans, vulnerability reports, and authentication credentials.

Exempts IT information that could allow unauthorized access to state IT assets if disclosed, along with security incident reports and compliance documentation.

Amends Section 9-5-169 to make the chancery clerk records exemption subject to the new IT records exemption provisions.

Amends Section 25-61-5 to incorporate the new IT records exemption into the general public records access requirements and timelines.

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
